Coping with Stress: How Leaders Can Coach Themselves and Their Team

We can't leave stress behind, it exists as a part of life. In this session we will talk about common tips for coping with stress that will benefit everyone, in any situation. Further, because we are all uniquely created, it is important to recognize that what causes stress and how it effects each of us, is different. Taking time to understand why something is bothering us, will help us discern what else we need, beyond the basics, to cope.

About Me

Brandie has worked in ministry for over 20 years serving with a large missions organization, with more than a decade focused on staff care. With a background in nursing and a master's degree in human services counseling, Brandie combines her knowledge and skills into the role as a coach, coming along side people feeling lost, stuck, or uncertain of how to move ahead. Her own experience with high levels of stress, burnout, life changes and questions around faith, have given her a passion to create safe spaces for people in ministry navigating their own journey. Brandie lives near Toronto, Canada, and is the mom of three teenagers/young adults, and one aging shihzhu. She enjoys reading and mobile rpgs in her free time, and gathering at holidays and in the summer with her family at their shared cottage.
